This is a well established pizza place that many people of Bridgeton have loved for years. They are famous for their delicious Sicilian style party tray pizzas. The staff rarely changes so the townspeople are on a first name basis with them. Remember to
always bring cash because there are no credit/debit cards accepted here! They use a vintage cash register that just screams mom and pop shop. I've always said one of the few things I'd miss if I moved away would be those delicious Big John's pizzas!
Arguably one of the best pizza places anywhere. Yup, anywhere. Seriously. A few things you need to know, though. Pepperoni, unless specified, is thrown on after the pizza comes out of the oven. And, I highly recommend ordering a party tray, cooked New York Style, with the pepperoni cooked. Party tray because of the thickness of the dough. If you like it thinner, get a regular small-large pie.
Great pizza. Back to basics pizza done right. Don't order ahead. Go in, place your order, & sit and watch. The organized chaos will impress you.
Cheap, good pizza. Parking is terrible. The place is run down and is terribly hot, don't plan on eating in at one of their 2 booths amongst the boxes, take it home. For the most part it is a friendly atmosphere with a down home feel. You get used to them and then you really like them.
They need to update their payment system. Still using a cash registerfrom 70 years ago. Other than that, the staff is friendly and the pizza is always fresh and delicious.
