This is an awesome bakery. Love the donuts and cupcakes. Always fresh!!
I can't possibly say enough great things about this bakery. I might be a little biased since I grew up next door but in all my travels and places I've lived nowhere has come close to some of the wonderful baked goods you can get at Century Bakery. Donuts are the BEST I have EVER had. Whenever I'm in the area I have to stop in for a dozen. The "fried donut" That is similar to a flat cinnamon bun with icing on top is my all time favorite and I've never seen a donut like it anywhere else. I usually get the one with chocolate and vanilla icing but I do also like their cherry icing and whatever the yellow one is. I wish there was a second location here in PA. The workers are always very polite and helpful and the owner is the nicest guy you'll meet in all of Bridgeton. It's been years since I had any pies or cakes from here but as a kid I recall they were always excellent and they are decorated beautifully.
Made my son's Monster cake and smash cake for his first birthday. Was a big hit. Definitely worth the drive.
Try the "Fry" My first bite was immediately proceeded by uncontrollable sobbing... joyous sobbing... as I experienced emotions long dormant. And with this sobbing came a cathartic healing. I have been freed by these pastries. This confectionary sanctuary hosts the BEST donuts I've ever had.
This place was an iconic experience in joy for decades. The donuts and pastries were pure deliciousness! Recently it has not been the same. The donuts taste as though they have been fried in overused oil. They beautiful shiney, creamy chocolate frosting that used to be used on them is dull and grainy. Hope it's just temporary.
